Blogging Advice from NorthernVoice Canadian Blogging Conference

Tris Hussey is attending Northern Voice, a Canadian blogging conference. Tris has posted a sysnopsis of 16 blogging tips given by Tim Bray of Sun who gave the keynote address.

Key among these are: listen, post often, and link often.

A couple I don’ t agree with are to flame judiciously and be intense. Of course, I’m getting these points second-hand and possibly out-of-context.

I recommend you click through and read Tris’ post.

  1. I agree with on those two “controversial” points…since I was just trying to (maddly) transcribe Tim’s talk! I think the real core of if it is if you’re angry about something be real about it. Be authentic, be angry if you’re angry. If a piece of software is lousy, say so without masking it too much.

I think Tim really raised some eyebrows on those points too from the audience..
